Indiana State Police began an investigation at the request of the Howard County Sheriff’s Office into the death of inmate.
Preliminary investigations revealed that just after 7:00 p.m. Saturday, Howard County detention deputies found Amanda L. Sullivan, 47, from Kokomo, lying on the ground and unresponsive. The deputies immediately began administering medical treatment, including CPR. Sullivan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This is an active and ongoing investigation, and an autopsy is pending to determine the exact cause of death. No further information is being released at this time.
Investigators are being assisted by the Howard County Coroner’s Office and the Howard County Sheriff’s Office.
