The State Road 44 ramp to Interstate 74 westbound is set to close on or after June 1 in Shelby County.
According to INDOT, due to ongoing construction and lane width restrictions on I-74, the S.R. 44 ramp will close in the interest of driver safety. The ramp is expected to be closed through the end of the year.
During this time, the official detour will follow I-74 eastbound, turn around at the State Road 244 interchange (Exit 119), and back onto I-74 westbound.
