State Senator Mike Bohacek (R-Michiana Shores) welcomed Knox resident Lacey Hahn and Walkerton resident Destiny Trent to serve as Senate pages in January.
Hahn, a homeschooled student, and Trent, who attends Walkerton Elementary School, spent a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor, and interacting with their state senator.
"I always appreciate having the opportunity to meet with local students," Bohacek said. "When you page for the Indiana Senate, you really get a feel for how our state legislature works."
Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program during the legislative session on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
