The Illinois Farm Bureau has announced that its Rural Development Grant Program is returning for a fourth year with the application period now open.
Last year, the program resulted in the awarding of grants to 30 recipients. For 2026-27, $120,000 will be available to support rural development projects that benefit Illinois farmers, their families, and their communities.
Multiple grants will be awarded in amounts ranging from $1300 up to $10,00. Grants will be available to groups and organizations including county Farm Bureaus, units of local government, economic development organizations, nonprofits, community groups and small businesses.
