Shelbyville High School golfer Emmie Higgins has been named the Beth Prince State Farm Athlete of the Week.
Higgins is off to a solid start this season as she led the Golden Bears in all three matches last week. She carded a 100 at the Pendleton Preview, a 47 against Mt. Vernon and a personal-best 45 (medalist) versus New Castle.
Shelbyville is back in action Wednesday at home against Pendleton Heights. The match at Blue Bear Golf Club will begin at 5 p.m.
