Heat Advisory issued for northern Indiana Tuesday & Wednesday

The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana has issued a Heat Advisory for northern Indiana, including Marshall, Starke, Fulton, Elkhart, Kosciusko, and St. Joseph counties.

The Heat Advisory will be in effect from 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1st through 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2nd. Heat index values are expected to range from 100 to 104 degrees, while Tuesday overnight heat indices will remain in the mid-70s.

Citizens are encouraged to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
