Good Samaritan is looking ahead to the future with the announcement of a leadership succession plan.
Rob McLin, President and CEO, has announced that he will retire in January 2026, and the Good Samaritan Board of Governors has selected Adam Thacker, Chief Operating Officer, to succeed McLin as President and CEO upon his retirement.
McLin says he has been working with the Board of Governors over the last several months in structuring a clear succession plan that will advance future strategic initiatives and enhance Good Samaritan’s long-term sustainability.
“Over the last 10 years I have witnessed Adam grow into an incredible leader who has Good Samaritan’s best interest at heart,” he stated. “I am confident Adam will do a phenomenal job leading and growing our organization for years to come.”
Over the next year, Thacker will be working alongside McLin to seamlessly transition to his new role leading Good Samaritan and its nearly 1,800 caregivers. In January, Thacker’s title will change to President and Chief Administrative Officer with some new responsibilities to aide in the transition.
Thacker says he is honored and grateful for the opportunity to lead such an amazing organization.
“Good Samaritan plays an incredibly vital role in this region as the provider of choice in healthcare and the employer of choice for the talented providers and caregivers that deliver on our mission and vision each day,” he added. “Rob has served as my mentor for the past 10 years and I am very appreciative of the strong foundation he has laid in this role.”
