GIANT fm announces 2024 regular season football broadcast schedule

GIANT fm will broadcast seven Shelbyville High School football games and two Triton Central games during the 2024 regular season.

Shelbyville-based GIANT fm also will broadcast a season kickoff show on Aug. 16 in conjunction with the Golden Bears’ preseason scrimmage against Jennings County at 7 p.m.

Lead broadcaster Johnny McCrory will host the preseason show live at 7 p.m. from J.M. McKeand Stadium will 2024 color analysts Jeff Brown and Mark Drake.

Shelbyville’s 2024 football schedule opens with a home game on Aug. 23 against Greensburg. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. GIANT fm’s pre-game show starts at 6 p.m. with analysis on the game as well as a look at Triton Central’s season opener against Batesville.

The Golden Bears travel to Rushville for a week two game on Aug. 30. GIANT fm will again have a pre-game show live at 6 p.m. at Rushville leading up to the 7 p.m. kickoff.

Shelbyville’s Hoosier Heritage Conference schedule starts on Sept. 6 with a road trip to Delta. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. GIANT fm will be live with the pre-game show at 6:30 p.m.

The Golden Bears are then home for New Castle and Greenfield-Central on Sept. 13 and Sept. 20, respectively. Kickoff for both games at McKeand Stadium is 7 p.m.

GIANT fm’s will have back-to-back broadcasts of Triton Central games on Sept. 27 and Oct. 4.

The Tigers will face Indianapolis Ritter on Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. The pre-game show will be live at 6 p.m. and will include a look at Shelbyville’s HHC game at Yorktown.

On Oct. 4, Triton Central will travel to Indianapolis Scecina for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The pre-game show at 6 p.m. will include a preview of Shelbyville’s home game against New Palestine.

GIANT fm’s regular-season broadcast schedule ends with a pair of Shelbyville games. The Golden Bears are at Mt. Vernon on Oct. 11 and host Pendleton Heights on Oct. 18. Pre-game shows will air at 6 p.m. for both contests.

GIANT fm will continue to follow Shelbyville and Triton Central into the postseason. The broadcast schedule will be finalized once the IHSAA announces the sectional pairings in early October.
