A recent traffic stop by Fulton County Deputy AJ Styers led to the arrest of John Brown, 47, from Chicago, IL. He was incarcerated in the Fulton County Detention Center to face criminal charges of Possession of Stolen Property.
Monday, March 20th at approximately 2:25 pm., while on routine patrol Deputy Styers received information that a 2018 Kia Forte traveling south on US 31 was stolen from Chicago. Deputy Styers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop around the area of US 31 and Wabash Road.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, John Brown, 47, of Chicago was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Brown was lodged in the Fulton County Detention Center on Possession of Stolen Property, a Level 6 felony.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
