The Fourth of July, also known as Independence Day, marks one of the most important days in American history.
On this day, the 13 colonies split their ties with Great Britain and became their own entity. This week, 248 years later, the country we call home still celebrates our freedom.
People celebrate this holiday in various ways, whether it be grilling, parties, relaxing, etc. However, there is one constant that almost everyone enjoys: fireworks. The bright colors and loud “boom” in the sky not only celebrate the freedoms we have today, but it brings excitement and enjoyment to spectators. To make life easier and avoid searching for different fireworks shows, here is a list of local shows:
Tuesday, July 2nd
Centennial Park (Rain date Friday, July 5th)
Wednesday, July 3rd
Swan Lake Resort
Clear Lake, LaPorte
Thursday, July 4th

North Liberty
Black Squirrel Golf Course, Goshen
Friday, July 5th
Central Green, Elkhart
Saturday, July 6th

Finally, if you are going to light fireworks yourself, please make sure you take all proper precautions to ensure the safety of yourself and others around you. HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!
