The Mayor's Summer of Music Concert Series rolls on this Friday night, July 17th, at River Park Square in downtown Plymouth, and the entertainment is stepping up in a big way. Fort Wayne's premier nine-piece R&B powerhouse, the Sweetwater All Stars, takes the Senter Stage for a groove-filled night of classic R&B, rock, soul, and Motown. Food trucks begin serving at 5:30 p.m., and the music starts at 7.
Founded by Sweetwater founder Chuck Surack, the Sweetwater All Stars are made up of Sweetwater sales engineers, studio personnel, and local session musicians — a group of serious talent that has built a devoted following across Indiana and beyond with their high-energy performances and deep catalog of crowd-favorite classics.
Hungry before the show? The Marshall County Museum will be selling ice cream drumsticks for just $1, and the Plymouth High School Band Boosters will be running the main concession stand with hot dogs, popcorn, candy, and pop — all for a dollar. Several food trucks will also be on site starting at 5:30 p.m., including Bob’s Cafeteria and Chubby Buddies.
Bring your lawn chair and a cooler with your favorite beverages and settle in for a free night of live music in the heart of downtown Plymouth. All ten concerts in the Mayor's Summer of Music series are provided at no charge thanks to the generous support of local sponsors — no tax dollars are used.
