A Fort Wayne man is facing multiple felony drug charges after being pulled over for driving more than 40 miles per hour over the speed limit on Sunday evening.
At approximately 6:45 p.m. on April 5, Corporal Schieber of the Plymouth Police Department initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of U.S. 30 and Pioneer Drive. According to police reports, the vehicle was clocked traveling at 93 mph in a posted 50 mph zone.
During the stop, officers identified the driver as 48-year-old Robert Willhite Jr. of Fort Wayne. A subsequent investigation at the scene led to the discovery of suspected illegal substances inside the vehicle.
Willhite was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail. He was booked on preliminary charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of cocaine, and misdemeanor reckless driving.
Following a review of the probable cause affidavit submitted by the arresting officer, a Marshall County judge set Willhite's bond at $5,000.
