An arrest in a case where the Parke County Deputies investigated a fraud complaint.
The victim, who lives in rural Rockville, was receiving scam calls from an unknown caller, trying to get the victim to withdraw a large sum of cash. The caller wanted to make arrangements to pick up the money at the victim’s residence.
Parke County deputies coordinated surveillance of the residence and took Michelande Eliassaint, 25, of Orlando, Florida, into custody for Fraud and Theft, Level 5 felonies.
Her bond was set at $15,000 cash only. This case is still under investigation, and the Rockville Police Department assisted.
