The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Flood Warning from Wednesday through Thursday February 8th for the Wabash River at Vincennes. The river continues to rise as the crest makes its way downstream from northern Indiana. The river Tuesday morning was at 14.85 feet and rising at Vincennes. That is still below the 16 foot flood stage. The forecast calls for the river to rise above flood Wednesday and then crest at over 18 feet sometime on Sunday. It will then begin a slow fall to below flood stage by Wednesday, February 7th. Several township roads south of St Francisville and the River Road between Billett and Westport is also flooded.
