Friday's event will feature the Joe Buckley Band playing at Moore's, Big Daddy Caddy at the Putnam County Courthouse stage and The Bluebird Collective at Lost Hollow, as well as DJ Brett Sjerven performing at The Bodega.
While the forecast may say fall is right around the corner, First Friday celebrations are in full swing in the city of Greencastle, and that includes September's event on Sept. 6.
"I am super excited. Weather can make or break an event. This year has been fantastic, and we have gotten such great community involvement and top notch sponsors and volunteers," MainStreet Greencastle executive director Russell Harvey told The Putnam County Post.

"We will also have an art raffle at Prime Real Estate. There will be a bounce house and games for the kids and it is the annual Green Light Arts Festival happening too. It is going to be a super fun event," Harvey said.
And, of course, there will be plenty of food on hand.
"You can't forget the awesome food vendors. We will also have freeze dried candy, licorice and cake pops," Harvey said.
With the calendar narrowing on First Friday opportunities, Harvey is hopeful the Greencastle community will turn out on Sept. 6.
"First Fridays are special. A lot of communities don't do it like us. It is a blessing. We not only get to have fun, but we are highlighting our beautiful and historic downtown, our fantastic small businesses and our Greencastle hospitality. We want folks to not just enjoy First Friday, but actually explore Greencastle. We're a small community, but we are mighty and have a lot to offer," Harvey said.
