Two men found hiding in a Michigan Road residence early Saturday morning are facing charges after Marshall County Sheriff's deputies executed a warrant service.
Dakota Elder, 29, and Mark Elder, 54, both with an East Division Road address in Knox, were taken into custody at approximately 1:00 a.m. on February 22, at a residence in the 2400 block of Michigan Road in Plymouth.
According to Deputy Blake Bennett of the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, deputies arrived at the residence to conduct a warrant service when they discovered both men hiding inside the home.
Mark Elder had an active warrant through Marshall County with no bond attached.

Dakota Elder was found to violate a no-contact order.

During the warrant service, deputies also located suspected marijuana in the residence.
Mark Elder was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on his active arrest warrant. He is being held without bond. Dakota Elder faces more serious charges. He was booked into jail for invasion of privacy with a prior conviction as a level 6 felony, and possession of marijuana as a class B misdemeanor.
Dakota Elder was issued a $1,500 cash bond.
Both suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed.
Both defendants are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
