The fugitive Tennessee prison inmate being sought in an extensive multi-state manhunt has been captured in Missouri.
28-year-old Jacob Allen Morley was taken into custody late Tuesday morning near Kansas City, ending a search that began after he escaped from the prison on Sunday, October 25th.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that Morley was arrested just before noon CT in Carroll County, Missouri with the help of multiple law enforcement agencies.
His capture comes just a few hours after he stole a farm truck southwest of Marion (Ill.). Morley was tracked to that area of southern Illinois after he stole another truck from Tennessee shortly after escaping. It was discovered abandoned in Marion and authorities had been on the lookout for him ever since.
Morley was serving a sentence for murder and other offenses at the time of his disappearance.
