The Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum is bringing back its popular Easter Trains for another season of family fun through the Northwest Indiana countryside.
The diesel-powered Easter Trains will depart from the North Judson station on three consecutive Saturdays—March 21, March 28, and April 4—with four daily departures at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. Central Time.
Following each 45-minute countryside excursion, passengers can participate in an Easter egg hunt featuring more than 6,000 candy-filled eggs distributed across three age categories. The museum encourages parents to bring cameras for photos with the Easter Bunny during each event.
The scenic train ride crosses the Kankakee River at English Lake before returning to the station.
Tickets are available for purchase online at hoosiervalley.org. Pricing includes: coach seating at $20 for adults, and $14 for children ages 3-15. The first class option is $25 for general lounge seats or $80 for private suites accommodating up to three people in a former business car. The Hoosier Valley Railroad is offering free admission for infants and toddlers under 3 when riding on a parent or guardian's lap.
