Monday evening, Plymouth Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt told the Board of Public Works and Safety he reviewed the three quotes opened at the September 22nd meeting and made the award.
Quotes were received by Rieth Riley Construction, Milestone Construction, and E & B Paving. The paving project was quoted in three sections: the main lot, the back parking lot, and the asphalt by the salt shed. Rieth Riley had the highest quote at $127,441 for all three sections, and Milestone was the next highest at $119,822. E & B Paving had the lowest quote at $112,320.
The Street Superintendent reviewed the quotes, looking for the lowest and most responsive one. The Board of Public Works permitted him to award the bid once he made the determination, since time is getting short for the paving companies to be open.
Monday, he told the board E & B Paving was the lowest and most responsive bidder.
