On Friday March 15, officers with the Marshall County Drug Task Force with assistance by Marshall County Deputies and troopers with the Indiana State Police, executed a search warrant in the 300-block of 1st Road in LaPaz.
Officers located and seized 13 firearms, cocaine, several ounces of psilocybin mushrooms, over a pound of marijuana, over 100 THC vape cartridges and edibles, numerous digital scales and packing and other evidence of dealing as well. Four individuals were in the home and transported to the Marshall County Jail.
Colt Hensley, 24 of LaPaz, was booked in for Dealing in a Schedule I or II controlled substance as a level 2 felony. Hensley was held on a $25,000 cash bond.
Cale Hensley, 24 of LaPaz, was booked in for Dealing in a Schedule I or II controlled substance as a level 2 felony, possession of cocaine, and dealing in marijuana. His cash bond was set at $25,000.
Brisa Camacho, 22 of LaPaz, was booked in jail for possession of marijuana, a B misdemeanor, and maintaining a common nuisance as a level 6 felony. Camacho’s cash bond was $1,500. She was released on bond.
Hannah Helak, 20 of South Bend, was arrested for possession of marijuana as a B misdemeanor and visiting a common nuisance as a B misdemeanor. Helak was released once her $500 cash bond was paid.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
