Authorities have now identified the man who drowned this past weekend in neighboring Richland County as a Lawrence County resident.
Emergency rescue personnel were called to Borah Beach north of Olney Saturday afternoon when a male subject did not surface while swimming at the location. Dive search teams were able to locate the body of 30 year old Emare Evans of Bridgeport after searching underwater for several hours. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death has initially been ruled as accidental drowning. Autopsy results to determine the exact cause remain pending as the investigation continues.
