Update: It has been reported that the driver who was killed in the accident has been identified as an Indiana State student.
The university made a statement extending thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of the victim. ISU is also offering counseling services for their students, faculty, and staff.
The student was identified as 24-year-old Zinyetta Z. Morgan of Saint Louis, Mo.
Origianl: A driver in Terre Haute was killed in a vehicle accident. The crash happened at 6 pm yesterday at the intersection of Erie Canal Road and Lockport Road. When dispatch sent officers to the scene it was reported that one of the drivers was seriously injured.
When police arrived to the scene of the crash the injured driver was dead. The driver of the other vehicle had none-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. During the cleanup of the accident traffic was shut down in the area while crash team investigators worked the scene. The roadway was closed for multiple hours.
