On Thursday, February 27th, the driver of a vehicle was arrested after an officer from the Plymouth Police Department spotted it on Michigan Street at 9 p.m. without taillights.
Officer Thornton with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop at Lake Avenue and South Walnut Street. While speaking with the driver, 36-year-old Devin Alan Master of West LaPorte Street in Plymouth, the city’s K9 Castor was called to perform an open-air sniff on the outskirts of that vehicle. K9 handler Vinson advised that Castor showed a positive alert on that vehicle.
Devin Master was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Paraphernalia and held on a $1,500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed. The person charged is presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and is entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
