A Culver man is facing multiple felony charges after he allegedly sold drugs to an informant.
According to court documents, officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and the Marshall County Drug Task Force worked together in April to conduct a controlled by for approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine.
Officers gave $450 to an informant who allegedly went to the home of Larry Johnson, 68, of Culver, to retrieve the drugs. During the exchange Johnson gave the informant a clear plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance that later weighed out as 11 grams and tested positive for meth.
Two additional controlled buys were later conducted between the informant and Johnson in May.
On May 20, a search warrant was conducted at Johnson's residence. During the search officers discovered a flashlight with a crystal-like substance in it weighing 16.5 grams, two digital scales, three packages and two plastic bags containing a green, plantlike substance, plastic THC container, three smoking device containing burnt residue, a safe containing $4,400, two handguns, a shotgun, and two rifles.
officers with the FCSO, RPD, and MCDTF conducted a search warrant of Johnson’s residence and detained Johnson at the scene.
Johnson was arrested at the scene and booked at the Fulton County Detention Center on four counts of Dealing Methamphetamine, all Level 2 Felonies; and two counts of Possession of Methamphetamine, both Level 4 Felonies. An initial hearing for Johnson is scheduled for July 6.
