The Marshall County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold its November meeting in the auditorium at Plymouth High School on Thursday beginning at 6 p.m.
Board members included President David Hostetler from Walkerton, Vice-President Matt Miller from Bremen, County Commissioner Mike Burroughs from Plymouth, County Council member Deborah Johnson from Plymouth, County Surveyor Craig Cultice, Purdue Extension member Brieanna Slonaker, Michelle Mieras from Bremen, Chris Kline from Culver, and Terri Barnhart from Bourbon.
The agenda lists the review of the Oct. 8 BZA meeting minutes and Rules of Procedure amendments. The Rules of Procedure will clarify the rules so everyone is clear on how the meeting will proceed.
The only other item on the agenda is 24-BZA-45 Tamarack Solar Energy LLC. Their request is for Special Use to allow a 150 MW (446-panel acres) farm-scale solar energy system with 1,435 acres within perimeter fencing in portions of West and Union Townships.
This request includes 50 individual parcels of land with addresses on Union Road, Tamarack Road, State Road 8, 12th Road, 13B Road, 14th Road, 14B Road, 15th Road, 16th Road, Upas Road, Tulip Road, State Road 17, and Thorn Road.
County Plan Director Ty Adley said they will have pictures and maps to help illustrate the area and the project.
There will be security in attendance for the meeting.
The public is welcome to attend this meeting, which is why it has been moved to the Plymouth High School auditorium. Those attending the meeting should park in the north parking lot and enter through Door No. 5. The meeting will also be streamed live on the county’s YouTube channel, which is accessible on the County’s website at www.co.marshall.in.us. Click watch live meetings.
