The Marshall County Drainage Board and Commissioners will meet Monday morning in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building. The meetings are open to the public and streamed live on the county’s website at www.co.marshall.in.us .
The Drainage Board meeting at 8:30 includes continued consideration of requests to relocate tiles. Graber Commercial Properties has asked to re-route the Henry Kelver Tile and the second request re-routes the Frank Milner Tile. Drainage Board members will also get some follow-up on the dredging of the J. Balmer Ditch and consider the request for reconstruction of the Emma Kuntz Ditch.
The Commissioners meeting at 9:30 includes a report from Highway Superintendent Jason Peters, consideration of a memorandum of agreement with MACOG for the Regional Brownfields Coalition along with a re-zoning request from L-1 to A-1 in Walkerton. Also on their agenda is an update on the rooftop heating and cooling units at the jail, Gary Neidig from ONE Marshall County will present the READI 2.0 grant applications that are due in a couple of weeks and Viki Brown will make a request for Dustin’s Place.
The County Attorney and Auditor will have their reports and under Commissioner Items is a chance for public comments, consideration on Pitney Bowes postage machines, an appointment to MCEDC and information on the Jefferson Street parking lot. The commissioners will also conduct a discussion on a fence in the county’s right-of-way on South Michigan Road south of Argos, consider a joint agreement between the Sheriff’s Department and the Blueberry Festival and hear a request for out-of-state travel.
