The County Council’s Budget and Finance subcommittee will meet on Wednesday, April 10th in room 203 of the County Building at 10 a.m.
Marshall County Auditor, Angie Birchmeier wants to discuss the process for the 2025 budget and how the council would like to have the budget laid out. Birchmeier said, “Historically we have printed the budget in department order but last year the council did the budget in fund order, so it was difficult to follow.”
Council president, Jesse Bohannon has requested the subcommittee look for additional funds for the Marshall County Highway Department.
While this is a public meeting, this subcommittee meeting will take place in the back of the Commissioners room and will not be live-streamed. No action can be taken, only recommendations to go before the entire council.
