Marshall County Auditor Angie Birchmeier presented the 2024 report of Annual Finances to the commissioners during their meeting Monday.
The report includes a complete listing of last year's receipts. The revenues for 2024 were $131,975,129.31. The report also details all disbursements last year. That amount was $130,128,531.93
Commissioner Jesse Bohannon said, “It looks like we took in almost $2 million more than we spent last year.”
The auditor said not quite that much. This is a combination of all the funds including grants.
The beginning balance of the report was $38,140,164.83. With the receipts and disbursements, the final ending balance in 2024 was $39,986,762.21.
While the commissioners are not required to approve the report, the County Auditor must present the Financial Report annually in a public meeting.
