Tuesday evening, March 21st the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission held its regular monthly meeting in the Council Chambers of City Hall.
City Attorney Sean Surrisi told members he anticipates advancing some documents for a hotel project next month that will be on Miller Drive between Mancino’s and the Aquatics Center.
This was a project proposed several years ago when the aquatics center was being built. The project was shelved for a while and then COVID hit and delayed any further action. The local developer is looking at getting the project back underway in the not-too-distant future.
During Wednesday’s “What’s Your Opinion Show” the Executive Director of Marshall County Economic Development Commission, Greg Hildebrand confirmed that plans call for a 4-story Hampton Inn to be built on the site.
The developer, Plymouth Hospitality LLC will be seeking a Tax Abatement for the project. The City Council is expected to consider the first step in the tax abatement process at its next meeting on Monday, March 27th.
