The Illinois Capital Development Board (ICDB) says that work has begun on the new $13.4 million Career and Technical Training Center located at Lincoln Trail College (LTC) at Robinson.
LTC officials and other dignitaries held a ceremonial groundbreaking Tuesday at the site. The state-of-the-art facility will serve as a hub for hands-on training in the fields of Welding, Process Technology, and Broadband Telecommunications. Actual site preparation and groundwork began in August.
The 30,000 square foot single-story building will include classroom and laboratory space to support a wide range of technical programs. It is anticipated the be finished and ready for occupation sometime in 2026.
