The Marshall County Commissioners approved the Cender Dalton Financial Consultant annual service agreement after County Attorney Sean Surrisi reviewed it. This year’s agreement allows the commissioners and the council to use their services. Hourly rates for 2025 range from $80 an hour for an Administrative Assistant to $140 an hour for an Associate and $350 an hour for one of the Partners.
The commissioners also made several appointments, including Gary Price to the Bourbon Public Library, Melony Dean to the Argos Plan Commission, Patty Kitch to the Bourbon Plan Commission, Don Fox and Danny Osborn to the Culver Plan Commission, and Doug Feece to the Plymouth Plan Commission. Julie Spitznagle will be the commissioner’s democrat appointment, and with Matt Miller’s resignation as a Republican, Don Nunamaker will fill that seat. Michelle Mieras had resigned, but when she learned she only had a couple more years on the board, she agreed to complete her term.
Other appointments made by the County Commissioners include Joel Fisher to the Marshall County Alcoholic Beverage Commission, the Koontz Lake Sewer District Board appointment will be Michael McKenna, Randy Glingle to the Marshall County Drainage Board, Trend Weldy to the MACOG Regional EDC Chamber Executive, Angela Bausley and Mark Damore Jr. to the Marshall County Tourism Board, and the KRBC & Technical Advisory Board will be Randy Glingle. Mark Morrison was reappointed to the Marshall County Community Corrections board, Chris Garner was also reappointed to the Unsafe Building Board, and Trent Bennett was reappointed to the Marshall County Board of Zoning Appeals.
Allie Shook is an existing member of the County Board of Health. Attorney Surrisi said the legislature changed the makeup of the Health Board in state statute. Allie is a general member of the public on board, and the recommendation is to hold her over until a qualified member can be found.
The County Commissioners also serve on several boards, and Stan Klotz will replace former commissioner Mike Burroughs on the County Plan Commission. He will also serve on the Central Dispatch Committee and the Unsafe Housing Board.
Commissioner Jesse Bohannon will serve on the MACOG Board, the MACOG Regional EDC Board, the U.S. 30 Coalition Board, and One Marshall County.
Commissioner Adam Faulstich will serve on the county’s Technology Committee, Safety Committee, EMA Board, and Courthouse Security.
