Former Marshall County Superior Court Judge Dean Colvin was appointed by the Marshall County Commissioners to serve a 4-year term on the Regional Sewer Board.
During Monday’s meeting, Commissioner Jesse Bohannon said, “This has been a board that has received quite a bit of attention as of recent months. I don’t think that it is any secret that most of the countywide elected officials share a different perspective than the previous administration, which appointed a majority of the board.”
Bohannon said an individual spoke at the most recent sewer board meeting and shared an opinion he thinks is the same as the majority of the commissioners and council. The commissioner said he believed it was a good time to make a change in direction regarding who their current appointment is, and Bohannon said he hopes the message will be received by members of the Regional Sewer Board.
Deb Palmer was one of the initial board members selected by the County Commissioners. She was appointed to a 2-year term. Her term is coming to an end, and Bohannon nominated Dean Colvin to serve a 4-year term on the Marshall County Regional Sewer Board. The nomination was unanimously approved by the commissioners.
