Officers from the Plymouth Police Department arrested two Plymouth men on warrants after they were seen walking.
Just after 4 p.m. on Friday, January 17th Officer Fisher was advised by an off-duty officer about a male subject who possibly had a warrant walking south down Michigan Street from Washington Street. Officer Fisher made contact with the male party, identified as Oscar Barrios, 49, of Plymouth.
The Marshall County Dispatch Center confirmed that Barrios had an active warrant out of Marshall County with no bond for failing to appear for public intoxication. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in on the warrant.
Corporal McIntyre observed Jushua Alvarado, 23, walking westbound on Harrison Street on Friday. He was aware that Alvarado had an active failure to appear warrant for his arrest. Corporal McIntyre took Alvarado into custody without issue and transported him to the Marshall County Jail.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
