A man who drove through a residential yard early Sunday morning was arrested by Plymouth Police.
At 1:26 a.m. Officer Witkowski initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for an improper turn at Madison and Plum St. The vehicle, a white Honda Civic, had made a left turn through a residential yard and continued north on Plum Street. The vehicle eventually stopped near 806 Plum Street.
The driver, 30-year-old Arturo Jurado of Plymouth attempted to exit the vehicle and was stopped by the officer. Inside the vehicle, officers located multiple empty alcoholic containers.
Jurado was found to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where is was booked for operating a vehicle with a BAC over .15 and operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
