Plymouth Police arrested two females from Warsaw early Sunday morning after they were called for a suspicious vehicle.
At about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, city officers were dispatched to 300 Pennsylvania Avenue after the residents reported a vehicle parked in their driveway and the man and woman walking away from it. Corporal Schieber located the pair in the 200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
While investigating the circumstances, it was quickly determined that both the male and female were intoxicated. The female repeatedly refused to give her name and was later identified as Jessica Jimenez, 23 of Warsaw. Jimenez was found to have outstanding warrants for her arrest. She was also taken into custody for additional charges of public intoxication and obstruction of justice.
While officers were also investigating the circumstances involving the parked vehicle in a random driveway, a female drove up to the scene and began to interfere with the investigation and refused to leave the area. That female driver was identified as Alejandra Delcid, 31 of Warsaw. Delcid was detained and later found to have a blood alcohol level of more than .20% BAC. Delcid was taken into custody for operating a vehicle while intoxicated over .15 and encroachment.
Both Jimenez and Delcid were transported and lodged at the Marshall County Jail.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
