Last week the Plymouth Common Council unanimously passed on the second and third reading an ordinance amending the fee schedule for private hangar rentals.
Airport manager Bill Sheley told the council his board hasn’t increased fees very much in the past 15 years. The ordinance increased fees by 15% and Sheley said when the taxiway becomes paved, they will increase rents again due to the increase in value.
The increased hangar fees will go into effect in August to give tenants a chance to be notified.
Sheley also said Alpha Flight has three different rental agreement with on ending last month, another one ending in August and the final one later this year. He plans to roll all three contacts into one.
Councilman Dave Morrow said the committee to review and modify the city’s golf cart ordinance is getting underway. They hope to get some public input and comments from golf cart owners. Committee members include council members Dave Morrow, Kayla Krathwohl and Duane Culp. Citizen Steve Gorski is also serving on the committee.
Councilmembers also approved the acceptance of donations. 1st Source Bank donated $100 to the Tractor Show and Comcast and Republic Services each donated $1,000 for the Mayor’s Summer of Music which begins on Friday, July 5th.
