The Plymouth Common Council approved $151,201 in total additional appropriations during their meeting Monday night.
During a public hearing, Clerk-Treasurer Lynn Groski detailed the six additional requests.
Two additional appropriations were requested for the City Monetary Gift Fund. The additional requests were $3,200 for supplies and $12,700 for other services and charges. This is for the Mayor’s Summer of Music. The donations are collected but need to be appropriated.
The Community Improvement Fund received an additional appropriation of $56,382 for the Commercial Revitalization Rebate Program. Local businesses can apply for a rebate grant for exterior improvements to their buildings. The funding comes from the UDAG Fund and is appropriated as funds are needed.
An additional appropriation of $5,880 was placed in the Plymouth Greenway Trail Project for other services and charges, and $35,400 was approved for the city’s Unsafe Building Fund to cover the additional cost to demolish The Pointe Apartments. The demolition order is currently on hold pending the sale of the property. However, if the funds aren’t expended, they will be held for the next demolition project.
The final additional appropriation was for the Airport’s AIP 28 Reimbursement Grant under capital outlays. The airport received a grant for the purchase of snow removal equipment, but the airport must purchase the equipment and seek reimbursement from the FFA for the approved equipment.
Following the public hearing, the Plymouth Common Council unanimously approved a resolution for the additional appropriations.
