A 2-year-old boy at the center of an Amber Alert issued early this morning has been found safe, but authorities continue to search for his father, who is considered armed and dangerous.
Saxon Clemons was located unharmed about 10 a.m. on Friday, February 6, bringing relief to the small Starke County community that had been gripped by fear since the Amber Alert jolted residents awake on their phones early this morning. However, his father, Dwayne Clemons, remains at large as law enforcement intensifies its search efforts.
The ordeal began on the afternoon of Thursday, February 5, when Saxon was last seen in North Judson around 3 p.m. According to multiple reports, Dwayne Clemons allegedly assaulted Saxon's mother during a violent domestic incident before fleeing with the child.
