Marshall County Republican Chairwoman Deb VanDeMark announced on Thursday a vacancy on the Center Township Advisory Board.
A caucus will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29th at the Marshall County Republican Headquarters at 117 Water Street in downtown Plymouth.
Republican precinct representatives of Center Township will hear from candidates and then vote by secret ballot for the new Center Township Advisory Board member.
The vacancy comes from the resignation of Keith Hammonds which will be effective on March 31st.
Eligible candidates must reside in Center Township and be a Republican in good standing. They will each be given 3 minutes to address the voting caucus.
Any person interested in the position should file a Declaration of Candidacy no later than 72 hours in advance of the caucus. Declarations of candidacy are available in the Office of the Marshall County Clerk in the Courthouse, from the Marshall County GOP or, the Indiana Secretary of State website, IN.gov/sos/elections.
