The Bridgeport City Council met in regular session Tuesday evening at City Hall. They moved to approve plans for a vending fair later his summer at Lanterman Park in conjunction with the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce. It isĀ scheduled for August 9th. More details are to be released in the near future by Chamber Executive Director Amy Michelle Seed. The council also approved the 2024-25 Annual Appropriation ordinance. They did enter into an executive session for approximately 30 minutes and emerged to take no action on personnel policy or a police department matter. They did approve the hiring of two summer city employees-Brandon Shipley and Dylan Aten.
