An investigation by the Bremen Police Department came to a conclusion with the arrest of a Bremen woman Wednesday.
The Bremen Police Department began an investigation into alleged practicing medicine without a license several months ago and asked for the assistance of the Indiana State Police. The investigation progressed and ultimately led to search warrants being executed at a residence in the 800 block of State Road 331 in Bremen, the Aurelina Spa at 822 W. Plymouth St. in Bremen and an additional business at 214 S. Indiana Ave. in Goshen.
As a result of evidence gathered, Aurelina Kiefer, 38, of Bremen, was arrested and charged with unlawful practice, corrupt business influence, both Level 5 felonies, and massage therapy licensure, a Class C misdemeanor. Kiefer was booked at the Marshall County Jail.
The Bremen Police Department and Indiana State Police was assisted by the Goshen Police Department, Elkhart County Prosecutor’s Office and the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
