A married couple from Bourbon was arrested after the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center was notified of a vehicle off the roadway at Michigan and 4th Roads on Saturday, November 8th, at 11 P.M.
County Deputies arrived and located a black 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix at the northeast corner, occupied by a female driver and a male front-seat passenger.
The driver was 52-year-old Norma Edington, and her passenger was 47-year-old Shayne Edington, both of 9B Road in Bourbon.
Norma Edington was found to have been intoxicated and later charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Marijuana and paraphernalia were located in the vehicle, and Shayne Edington was charged with those offenses.
Both Edingtons were lodged in the Marshall County Jail. Mrs. Edington was held on a $1500 cash bond for operating while intoxicated, and Mr. Edington was held on a $250 cash bond for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed, and that there is only probable cause to believe it has. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
