Jail Bookings
The following people were recently booked at the Fulton County Jail:
• D Yonna Unique Dawning, 23, South Bend, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in court on an original charge of driving while suspended. She was taken into custody at the jail and held on a $150 cash bond.

• Adam J. Cheek, 39, 1119 Pontiac St., Rochester, was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an original charge of possession of marijuana. He was taken into custody at the jail and held on a $150 cash bond.

• Joe W. Teller, 19, 1100 Park Road, Lot 11, Rochester, was arrested Thursday on a warrant issued out of Michigan City. He was taken into custody at home to await extradition.

• Shayne M. Edington, 47, Bourbon, was arrested Thursday on a preliminary charge of domestic battery. He was taken into custody by Rochester city police after allegedly striking a woman at Burger King, 2440 Main St. He is held without bond.

• Jay A. Mote, 48, 403 W. Eighth St., Rochester, was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an original charge of nonsupport of a dependent. He was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies at 1217 Bancroft Ave. and held on a $1,000 cash bond.

• William N. Smith, 47, 521 E. Ninth St., Rochester, was arrested Thursday on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated. He was taken into custody by Rochester city police at State Road 25 and Jones Avenue and later released on his own recognizance.

• Samuel J. Beckett, 24, 1486 Park Road, Rochester, was arrested Friday on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia. He was additionally picked up on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on original charges of possession of a syringe and possession of methamphetamine. He was taken into custody by Rochester city police at Seventh and Main streets and held without bond.

Police Incidents
Suspicious
• At 10:25 a.m. Wednesday, a resident of Pine Street reported finding a crystal-like substance near their driveway. Police records indicate that while the item did resemble drugs, it was just a rock.
Citizen assist
• Shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday, a man requested to speak with an officer about threats being made against him by his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend. He also stated they have been driving by his residence and that the ex-girlfriend approached him at the library. He was advised to follow-up with the sheriff's office and provided information on obtaining a protective order.
Safety concern
• At 3:32 p.m. Wednesday, police received a report about a low-hanging utility line in the area of Old U.S. 31 and County Road 350 North that a bus was not able to clear. It was determined to be an old cable line, which was later removed by RTC.
Neighbor dispute
• At 4:01 p.m. Wednesday, a resident in the 1200 block of Bancroft Avenue reported that someone keeps going past his window playing music and yelling. Police records indicate the incident was part of an ongoing neighbor dispute.
Fraud
• At 4:38 p.m. Wednesday, police received a report of fraud on the payroll system of Topp Industries, 420 N. State Road 25, allegedly from a female employee. When confronted the previous night, she did not return to work.
Wrecks
• At 8:13 p.m. Wednesday, police received a report of a minor wreck involving a Dodge Journey and semi-truck at Starbucks, 394 Rochester Crossing Drive.
• Vehicles driven by Phillip J. Drubert and Sheryl L. Williams, both of Rochester, were involved in a minor collision around 7 p.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of Jefferson Street.
Noise complaint
• At 10:34 p.m. Wednesday, police received another complaint about a man running a generator to get electricity to an apartment at 8th and Jefferson streets. He was advised that if he started it again, he would receive a citation.
Removal denied
• At 2:46 a.m. Thursday, an intoxicated woman residing in the 200 block of East 16th Street requested police remove a man from her residence. An officer advised her that his name is on the lease and police could not force him to leave.
Unwanted guest
• At 10:18 a.m. Thursday, a man residing in the 200 block of West Eighth Street reported that an intoxicated woman was attempting to enter his home through a back window. She was issued a no trespassing warning after gaining entry, and a neighbor was to give her a ride to Plymouth.
Bus passed
• At 1 p.m. Thursday, police documented a stop-arm violation in the 500 block of East Ninth Street.
Extra patrol
• At 4:05 p.m. Thursday, police received a request for extra patrol in the area of 12th and Main street before and after school due to vehicles not yielding for pedestrians.
