The Board of Works and Public Safety approved a downtown road closure request Tuesday morning for an upcoming Fall Festival.
On Aug. 23 in Shelbyville, the City of Shelbyville is promoting an event to support shopping and dining around the Public Square.
Touted as a family-friendly event, the festival runs all day on Aug. 23 and ends with a free concert in downtown Shelbyville by Hello Weekend from 7 to 9 p.m.
The Board of Works approved closing a portion of West Washington St. going west from the Public Square from noon to 10:30 p.m. The closure is identical to the set up used for the Farmers Market on Saturday mornings on the Public Square.
