Sean Surrisi the City Attorney Sean Surrisi and Police Chief David Bacon presented the quotes to the Board.
Fletcher Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM from Franklin presented quotes for two vehicles a 2023 Dodge Durango pursuit-rated squad for $38,519 each and $34,892 per for 2023 Dodge Charger Police vehicles.
Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM / Warsaw Buick-GMC quoted $36,994 for the 2023 Dodge Charger, $39,939 for a V6 Dodge Durango; and $42,934 for a V8 Dodge Durango.
Metz Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram from Nappanee offered a quote of $35,750 for a 2023 Dodge Police Charger and $39,600 for a 2023 Dodge Police Durango.
Oliver Ford Lincoln was unable to provide a quote for the Ford Explorer Interceptor due to a slowdown in production. Steve Keyser attended the meeting and did quote a 2023 Ford F150 Interceptor 4x4 at $45,349. He commented that the pick-up trucks have a higher trade-in value on the back end.
The Mike Anderson Auto Group from Rochester quoted two vehicles. A 2023 Dodge Police Charger at $35,154.20 and the 2023 Dodge Police Durango at $41,851.20.
Auto Park in Plymouth offered quotes for the Dodge Charger and Durango. The Charger came in at $35,654 and the Durango was $39,411.
Police Chief Dave Bacon commented that inflation has increased the price of vehicles. He asked for permission to work with the Clerk-Treasurer and the 2023 budget, review the quotes, and then place his order. The chief said he would report to the board at their meeting on February 27th. The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety approved his request.
