A Parke County man was arrested on gun charges by county deputies.
About 9 p.m. Monday, Parke County deputies responded to the area of Hilltop Road and US Highway 41 for a report of shots fired. They report that a man had fired a pistol at the victim who was traveling in a vehicle northbound on US 41.
Deputies report that the suspect was quickly located and taken into custody. A loaded pistol was found on the suspect, Terry Cox, 71, of Bloomingdale. It was taken into evidence.
Cox was booked into the Parke County Jail for criminal recklessness with a firearm (Level 6 felony) and intimidation with a deadly weapon (Level 5 felony). He was held without bond.
