Beacon Credit Union recently donated $1,000 to Friends of the Fulton County Parks and Recreation Department Inc.
“The Friends of the Fulton County Parks and Recreation Department Inc. is an organization created by the Fulton County Park and Recreation Board. In 2003, the parks identified nine to fifteen local residents that were interested and committed to the cause. They had a desire to help with the effort required to make the park enhancements a reality, and thus the Friends of the Fulton County Parks and Recreation Department Inc. came into existence,” shared Rochester Member Center Managers Julie Shriver and Erica Rude.
“These volunteers have proven to be major contributors to the effort to enhance and update our county’s park facilities,” Shriver and Rude said. “We are honored to donate to an organization that contributes to the community by creating beautiful places for families to enjoy.”
