- Never pass a stopped school bus with its stop arm extended. It is not just dangerous, it is illegal.

- Expect children to be walking or biking, especially near neighborhoods and crosswalks.
- Avoid distractions, put the phone down, and focus on the road.
- Give school buses and crossing guards extra space and time.
Talk With Your Kids
- Make sure your child knows how to cross safely and when it’s okay to approach the bus.
- Remind them to stay alert, avoid distractions, and look both ways before crossing any street.
