Members of the Plymouth Plan Commission will send the County Council a favorable recommendation for the development of a 2-lot minor subdivision of a 29-acre parcel at 1221 Elm Street.
The property is owned by Art and Lisa Jacobs, and they have built a new home with a pole barn east of Menominee Elementary School.
Ty Adley, the Plymouth Plan Director, said the proposed residential lot will meet all setback requirements. He also said the Technical Review Committee didn’t have any issues with the proposed development. Adley said the residential lot would be annexed into the City of Plymouth, while the remaining property would remain in the city’s 2-mile zoning district.
The sketch plan was presented to the Plan Director and TRC and was recommended for approval. There were no questions from the Plan Commission, and no public hearing was required for this portion of the project.
The Plan Commission was asked to determine if the requirements and standards of the subdivision ordinance were substantially met before moving forward with a preliminary plan and a public hearing. The Plan Commission voted in agreement that it meets the city’s criteria. The vote was 6-0 with 1 abstention, the Jacobs’ son-in-law.
