An 85-year-old man was taken to the hospital Saturday evening following a head-on collision on U.S. 6, according to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:33 p.m. on March 21, 2026, near the intersection of U.S. 6 and Linden Road.
According to a report filed by Deputy Robert Williams, investigators determined that a 2007 Ford Focus, driven by 85-year-old David Patterson of Angola, was traveling in the area when it crossed over the center line. Patterson's vehicle then collided head-on with a 2010 Jeep Wrangler, driven by 62-year-old Judith Bono of LaPorte.
Following the impact, Patterson was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The police report did not indicate whether Bono sustained any injuries in the crash.
